A beautiful, pink bakery in Aigburth is "overwhelmed" by the "generosity and kindness" of customers over the festive period.
Braidy Maloney runs Catherine Braidy Cake Parlour with her business partner Cath Williams. The duo have made a name for themselves thanks to their elaborate cakes and sweet creations, as well as their dedication to kindness and charity.
The café recently celebrated its third birthday and for another year in a row, it opened on Christmas Day so people wouldn't be alone over the festive period.

In a post on its social media accounts, the owners shared its festive opening hours, penning: "We're opening on Christmas Day. You won't be able to buy cake but you'll be able to pop in and see some friendly faces, have a warm drink and have some Danish pastries all free of charge.
"Nobody should have to feel alone over the holiday period so like the previous years we’ll be open from 10am until 1pm."
The bakery is often praised for its commitment and determination to provide a safe and welcoming space to people during the festive period. On Facebook, people took to the comments section to share their admiration of the gesture.
One person said: "Well done. Can I ask if you are taking any donations to help towards your costs, I would pop in and contribute", while a second said: "Amazing gesture, thank you - can I come in and make a donation towards your costs for this day".
A third commented: "What a kind thing to do" and a fourth said: "This is such a beautiful thing to do! I would love to donate something if possible?" A fifth added: "Absolutely gorgeous! Need to see more of this. Well done."
In the days since Christmas Day, the owners have once again taken to social media to share their feelings on the situation. To its 7.8k Instagram followers, Braidy and Cath said: "To everyone who called in today to make donations, for chat or to simply say "happy Christmas", thank you doesn't even cover it.
"We have been overwhelmed with people's generosity and kindness, as always. To those who have donated money to cover costs, those who have donated money towards our food bank collection and those who have dropped off bags full of food, we are so privileged to have your support.
"We feel so incredibly lucky that we can use our space on days like today, we met old friends and gained some new ones too. Whatever you're doing today, enjoy yourself. We'll see you on January 4th. Braidy and Cath."
Catherine Braidy is based at 262 Aigburth Road, Liverpool, L17 9PJ.
