Hibs have confirmed the signing of former Celtic winger Aiden McGeady on a one-year deal, following his exit from English League One side Sunderland.
The 36-year-old has been looking for a new club to call home after leaving the Black Cats following their successful promotion bid to the Championship. He has opted to continue his playing career and returns to Scottish football for the first time since 2010, when he ended a six-year stint at Celtic and headed for Spartak Moscow.
Since then he's turned out for Everton, Sheffield Wednesday, Preston North End, Charlton Athletic and Sunderland. McGeady now joins up with former Stadium of Light boss Lee Johnson ahead of Hibs' warm weather training camp in Portugal, having already signed former Celtic team mate David Marshall, Nohan Kenneh, Momodou Bojang, Rocky Bushiri, Lewis Miller, Jair Tavares and Kyle McClelland during the course of this summer transfer window so far.

Johnson will hope his latest recruit adds creativity to his frontline that it has lacked since the winter departure of talisman Martin Boyle.
What will also come with the veteran is the ability to lead young players in the dressing room.
He said: "We are delighted to bring Aiden to Hibernian FC. He will bring skill, experience and gravitas to our team.

"Aiden is a top player, has had a fantastic career to date and we aim to extend and accentuate his abilities within the blend of our new-look squad.
“We will also look to utilise Aiden’s fantastic leadership qualities to help guide and get the best out of our young forward players.”
