Ahead of the high-octane Delhi polls as the mud slinging between parties rages on, the water of Yamuna has found itself caught between a war of words.
At one end AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the river has been "poisoned" by Haryana, on the other, the BJP and Congress blame the incumbent Delhi government for failing to keep Yamuna clean. Congress’ Rahul Gandhi and BJP’s Nayab Singh Saini have both dared Kejriwal to take a dip in the river in Delhi.
Meanwhile, responding to the election commission of India, which asked Kejriwal to show proof for his allegations, the former Delhi CM has challenged the poll body’s chief to drink water from the Yamuna.
