I don't know what makes me simultaneously hate on a Pista GP RR and also long for one.
OK, that's a lie, I do. Every motorcycle influencer and his grandmother has a limited-edition Pista GP RR, an R1, and some dreamy filter. I hate seeing the IG Reels pop up, I hate that I can't stop watching them, but most of all, I hate how much I simultaneously want a Pista GP RR in my gear locker.
And I want this latest Pantera edition more than most.
The limited edition helmet has all the same MotoGP-derived technology you've come to expect from Pista GP RR units. Like the other models in this range, it's made from 100 percent carbon fiber, but unlike some of the other colorways in the range, AGV's designers have gone out of their way to ensure you can see every spec and shade of that carbon fiber laced throughout the shell.
Contrasting with the black shell are firey orange chrome accents found on the air vents, the AGV logo, and the visor. It's not a stretch to say this is one of the fiercest color schemes ever seen on a Pista GP RR.
The only thing that'll turn heads as quickly as this model's finish is its price tag of €1,815 (US $1,882).
Yes, I want it, but no, you'll never catch me paying that much for a helmet unless it's got some crazy new features. The Pista GP RR hasn't seen much in the way of fresh features in a few years, but it also gives nothing up to the best racing helmets in the game.
If you're willing to part with almost $2,000, you'll get a helmet that meets the latest FIM homologation safety regulations, weighs next to nothing, gives the rider 190 degrees of visibility, and uses AGV's 360-degree Adaptive Fit system.
Let us know what you think of the Pantera in the comments, and also, what's the most you've ever spent on a helmet.
