After winning the Super Bowl, Van Jefferson rushed to the hospital for the birth of his son

Van Jefferson helped the Rams win Super Bowl LVI on Sunday night, but he couldn’t stick around for the celebration afterwards. He rushed out of SoFi Stadium not long after the game concluded, heading straight for the hospital where his wife was giving birth to their second child.

She left the game early after going into labor at SoFi Stadium, going off on a stretcher in the second half. Jefferson obviously couldn’t leave while the game was still being played, but he didn’t waste any time after the final whistle.

He was seen booking it out of the building, as captured by NFL GameDay.

In a span of about two hours, Jefferson won a Super Bowl ring and held his newborn son. He shared a photo of himself and his child on Instagram, capping off what will surely be the best night of his life.

It doesn’t get much better than that, giving Jefferson and his family plenty to celebrate. And he has a great story to tell his son about how he was delivered on the night of Jefferson’s first Super Bowl win.
