The Tennessee Titans brought free-agent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to Nashville for a visit on Sunday and Monday, and now the veteran is reportedly set for his next free-agent visit.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Hopkins will meet with the New England Patriots on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
There was some thought that perhaps Hopkins’ visit with the Patriots would not happen after head coach Bill Belichick gave an uncertain answer when asked about it, but apparently that was just Bill being Bill.
Nevertheless, the Pats currently stand as the only known competition for the Titans when it comes to Hopkins, although it’s expected the veteran wideout will meet with more teams than just those two.
On Monday it was reported that Hopkins and the Titans had a “successful visit” but that meeting did not yield a contract agreement, which wasn’t a surprise considering Hopkins appears set to make the rounds.
