Africa Oyé Festival returns to Sefton Park this weekend for its 31st event in the city.
This year's festival follows the 30th anniversary year in 2022, as one of Merseyside's most picturesque green spaces will once again be filled with the music and culture of Africa, the Caribbean and the Diaspora. Africa Oyé began more than three decades ago in 1992 as a series of gigs in the city centre. It is now one of the city's most loved annual events, attracting artists and attendees from across the world.
It consists of two free days of live music, workshops, DJ stages, food stalls and a range of traders in the Oyé Village.

Paul Duhaney, artistic director for Africa Oye, said: "We're really pleased with the line-up for this year 's festival and how it reflects our ongoing mission to showcase the music of Africa and the wider Diaspora.
