Fremantle have crushed the Kangaroos at Arden Street to advance to an AFLW preliminary final.

The Dockers set up a preliminary final match-up with the Crows in Adelaide, after they defeated the Kangaroos 11.3 (69) to 4.7 (31).

It was a disappointing end to the season for North Melbourne, but the team struggled for much of the day against their rivals from the west.

The Kangaroos broke even or came close in a lot of areas, but they weren't able to convert chances or stop the Dockers.

The home side had more inside 50s and marks inside 50, but misses from the likes of Emma King, Kaitlyn Ashmore, Daria Bannister and Nicole Bresnehan made life harder.

The Dockers had a strong performance across the board. The visitors had 10 individual goalkickers, led by two from Mikayla Hyde.

Familiar names were at the front when it came to possessions - Kiara Bowers and Hayley Miller had 21 disposals each for Freo, while Kangaroos star Emma Kearney had 22 in a losing cause.

The AFL is expected to announce a decision on Monday on when the other qualifying final between Brisbane and Collingwood will be played.

The game was due to be played on Saturday but it had to be rescheduled after a wave of COVID-19 cases left the Magpies unable to field a full squad.

The league said "multiple" Collingwood players were currently under its health and safety protocols.
