The Western Bulldogs withstood a furious second-half revival from Adelaide to upset the previously unbeaten Crows by one point and break their road drought in a massive AFLW boilover at Norwood Oval.
In Sunday's other matches, Collingwood defeated West Coast by 24 points, while reigning premier Brisbane edged St Kilda in a five-point victory.
The Bulldogs — who only scored their first win of the season last week — triumphed 8.1 (49) to 7.6 (48) over the Crows.
They never trailed and won away for the first time since beating Adelaide at the same venue in round one of 2019.
Sparked by midfielders Ellie Blackburn and Kirsty Lamb, the visitors scored the first 19 points and led by as much as 24 in the second quarter, as they stunned the Crows with their run, aggression and tenacity.
Adelaide dominated territory in the second half, but the Bulldogs hung on despite playing more than half the match two players down.
Debutante Aurora Smith was forced off the ground early in the encounter with a knee injury, having logged a tackle but no disposals.
Brooke Lochland was also ruled out of the match before half-time after suffering a concussion following an accidental clash with teammate Bonnie Toogood.
Adelaide trailed by 15 early in the final quarter but goals to Ashleigh Woodland and Stevie-Lee Thompson cut the deficit to three points.
A couple more Crows behinds set up an incredible finish, with Erin Phillips falling just short from a set shot and Caitlin Gould having a close-range kick smothered.
The Bulldogs were forced to desperately defend a couple of stoppages from around 10 metres out in the final minute.
Blackburn finished with 23 disposals and Lamb posted 17, while Toogood kicked two goals.
Ebony Marinoff accumulated 26 disposals, Anne Hatchard 23 and Phillips 20, 16 of them in the second half.
Lisa Whiteley and Woodland both kicked two goals, with the latter taking her season tally to 12, the highest in the competition.
Magpies power past Eagles
Collingwood snapped a concerning two-match losing run, with Chloe Molloy inspiring the Magpies to their win against West Coast.
Flying in and out of Perth for Sunday's clash, Collingwood controlled the match from the start, running out winners 7.4 (46) to 3.4 (22).
The match was set-up by Molloy and midfielder Brittany Bonnici, who were the most influential players on the ground right the way through.
With captain Steph Chiocci out and reigning league best-and-fairest winner Bri Davey to miss the rest of the season, Molloy was thrown into the midfield.
Molloy set the match alight, kicking the first goal and using her power to burst out of the stoppages.
The 23-year-old finished with 18 disposals and two majors in an ominous sign for the rest of the competition.
Bonnici was at her prolific best, gathering a game-high 27 disposals while also kicking a goal.
The victory keeps the Magpies inside the top six as they seek to atone for a heartbreaking defeat in last year's preliminary final.
The Eagles returned from Victoria last Wednesday after being forced to hit the road for three weeks due to Western Australia's hard border stance.
Collingwood faces North Melbourne in Hobart next Sunday, while the Eagles will host Richmond on Saturday night.
Lions pip Saints
Brisbane overcame a giant scare from winless St Kilda to hang on to claim victory.
The inaccurate Lions trailed the Saints until midway through the third term in oppressive, windy conditions at Trevor Barker Oval in Sandringham.
After kicking 11 behinds before slotting their first goal, the Lions rallied after half-time to triumph 3.13 (31) to 4.2 (26).
The Lions were thrashed by Adelaide in the opening round but have now put together four consecutive wins to remain in contention for back-to-back flags.
St Kilda brought serious intensity and pressure early, as Nicola Xenos kicked two-first quarter goals to help the Saints grab a surprising eight-point lead.
Brisbane dominated the third quarter with goals to first-gamer Luka Yoshida-Martin, and premiership heroes Sophie Conway and Greta Bodey, to head into the final break with a handy 16-point advantage.
But the Saints came again, capitalising on kicking with a significant breeze to get within three points of the Lions midway through the last quarter through goals to Caitlin Greiser and Tilly Lucas-Rodd.
The Lions prevailed, however, holding out multiple charges from the brave Saints, including an opportunity near St Kilda's goals with just seconds to go.
Brisbane's all-Australian contender Emily Bates continued her dominant campaign with 17 disposals, while Irishwoman Orla O'Dwyer was again a stand-out.
It was the first match of a gruelling stretch for the Lions, who have to play four matches in 15 days after one of their contest earlier in the season was called off due to COVID-19.
The Lions have just four days to get ready to face the improving Gold Coast Suns on Thursday night.
St Kilda plays Carlton at Princes Park next Saturday.
