A children’s festival is coming to a Nottinghamshire town for the first time and will host a number of fun activities. Funtopia is a festival designed for children under 10 years old and is heading to Mansfield for its 2023 summer tour.
The children's festival will take place from 11. 30am to 5pm at The Carrs, Church Road, Church Warsop, Mansfield, on Sunday July 23. The event will be filled with role play areas, sumo suits, huge water fights, shows, giant inflatable games, character meet and greets, under 5’s area and high energy inflatables.
The summer tour will bring some new features to the festival which include a baby zone, a giant 110 ft obstacle course where both kids and adults can compete, as well as stage shows and The Fun Farm, where children can run their own farm in a role play area.

Some activities have height/age restrictions. The festival will also host an Autism Friendly Session at the start of Funtopia. The Autism Friendly Sessions take place from 10.30am to 11.30am.
All tickets are purchased on the gate but Autism Friendly Sessions can be booked online. Sales open at 10am every event day. For the main session tickets are priced at £10 for a child over 90cm, free for children under 90cm and £2.50 for adults.
For the autism-friendly session, tickets are priced at £5 for a child over 90cm, free for children under 90cm and £2.50 for adults. Sarah Green, Funtopia Director, said: “Providing families with a very reasonably priced day out has always been one of our top priorities. This year we believe that it is even more important to offer all families the opportunity to enjoy a day out together
“We know how hard it can be for families to afford a day out. Most of the time the costs don’t end at the entrance either, with rides, prize stalls and food sometimes costing more than the entrance fee! Therefore, this year we have decided not to feature any additional pay-per-go rides or game stalls. Once you have paid to enter Funtopia, all the activities are included in the price. For only £10 per child, visitors can enjoy a full day of fun!”.
“We’re pleased to be offering our popular Autism Friendly Sessions at every Funtopia this year,” said Sam Harrison, Event Manager.
“These sessions are specifically designed to allow children with autism the opportunity to visit Funtopia in a more relaxed and suitable setting. We’ve found that these children can often be forgotten and don’t always get the opportunity to visit events. We hope that they will be popular with the local community”.
