AEW stars Private Party confirmed for OWE UK tag team tournament

AEW tag team Private Party are heading to London and Liverpool to be part of OWE UK's debut shows, Mirror Sport can reveal.

China’s premier wrestling company, Oriental Wrestling Entertainment, is launching OWE United Kingdom with five shows next month.

The buzz around the new promotion has grown due to partnerships with both OWE Shanghai and new WWE rival All Elite Wrestling in the U.S.

OWE UK is holding two shows at The Dome in Tufnell Park on September 18 and 19, followed by three in Liverpool on September 20, 21 and 22, at Grand Central Hall.

Headlining the tour is a four-day tag team championship tournament, set to crown the first ever OWE Tag Team Champions.

Last week it was announced AEW duo Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt would be competing on day one against Arrows of Hungary.

And now Mirror Sport can reveal AEW pairing Private Party, aka high flyers Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy from New York, will also be involved.

The House of Glory wrestling school graduates will be involved on the second day, taking on Achilles Ben and The Flying Prince from China.

Michael Nee, the vice president of OWE, said: "We are based in China and AEW are based in the US, but working together we can be huge in the future.

"That’s the intention with OWE United Kingdom. We want to bring the best of the East, the best of the West and throw in a mix from Europe to create something truly remarkable for wrestling fans.

"OWE will do everything to support AEW, and visa versa, to bring the best wrestling to the world and we will be taping these five shows for airing on FITE TV.”

Mirror Sport has learned there will be three titles on the line over the five days, with a women’s champion crowned on day one, who is expected to defend her title at every show.

Day four will see the tag championship decided, plus in another Mirror Sport exclusive, we can reveal there will be an invitational rumble match on day five in Liverpool.

The winner will gain the inaugural OWE United Kingdom Championship, with the first competitor for the rumble set to be agile AEW big man Luchasaurus.

Sean McMahon, OWE United Kingdom senior vice president, added: "We're offering fans an alternative to WWE and NXT UK, by giving them match-ups not seen before.

"The mix of AEW, OWE and our very own roster from across the globe ensures we are offering a credible and enjoyable alternative.

"The talent are truly the best from around the world and each of the five shows will be offering something different and remarkable."

On day one, the tag team tournament will see the Gym Nasty Boys versus Anti Fun Police; Super Sharp Bros versus International Superstars; Arrows of Hungary versus Luchasaurus and Marko Stunt; and TJ Kung Fu versus Cima and Lindaman.

In addition to these matches, there will be a six-way gauntlet match to crown the first OWE Women’s Champion, with competitors including Session Moth Martina, Lana Austin, Charlie Evans, Lizzy Styles, Little Miss Roxxy and Amazon Ayesha.
