AEW Fight Forever: How to get and use finishers

If you want to put your opponent away for the three-count in AEW Fight Forever, then you’re going to need to earn a finisher. These climactic moves are typically the strongest (and coolest) move in a wrestler’s arsenal and bring the match to a close.

You can build up to signatures simply by gaining momentum and beating down your opponent, but it takes an extra step to turn it into a finisher. We’ll tell you how to get a finisher in AEW Fight Forever, and how to put it to good use.

Once you’re ready to go for the pin, you’ll need to know how to drag opponents away from the ropes. Plus, you can find some of the secrets with hidden WWE finishers and unlockable Aubrey Edwards.

How to get a finisher – AEW Fight Forever

At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see each wrestler’s momentum bars. The more damage you deal to your opponent, the more this bar fills up, and it’ll shrink again if you start to take damage.

Once it’s maxed out, you’ll get a signature, which you can execute by grappling your opponent with A on Xbox/Cross on PlayStation and then pressing any direction on D-Pad. As long as your opponent doesn’t counter, you’ll keep the signature even after using it – this is so you can turn it into a finisher.

When you have an opening, flick the right analog stick up or down to perform a taunt, complete it without being interrupted and your signature will become a finisher.

How to use a finisher – AEW Fight Forever

How you use your finisher depends on the context of the move, which you can check in the pause menu under “move list”.

For example, if your finisher requires you to dive from the top rope, you’ll need to make sure your opponent is grounded and then climb up high.

However, the vast majority of finishers will require a standard grapple. To do this, grab your opponent with A on Xbox/Cross on PlayStation, then move the right analog stick in any direction to execute the finisher.
