Adrian Chiles' new book was penned after overcoming his relationship with alcohol.
The former One Show presenter recently wrote a new book, How I Learned To Love Drinking Less, documenting his journey with sobriety. Adrian admitted before overhauling his life he would drink up to 100 units a week.
The book was birthed following the praise of his documentary, Drinkers Like Me, but admitted the book touches on more "highs and lows" than he's ever shared. He said: "I was drinking but without getting drunk. Through the documentary I learned I was drinking around 100 units a week.

"Because we've got this idea in our heads of what an alcoholic is, if you're not that, then you think you haven't got a problem. But it occurred to me, if I'm drinking every day and I'm drinking that much, there must be some dependency on alcohol there."
Adrian said he was "shocked" into changing how much he drank after realising it was taking a serious effect on his health. Doctors told him there was too much fatty tissue around his liver and if he didn't correct his drinking habits it could be fatal.
The presenter admitted it "wasn't hard" to cut down after realising how much he consumed over the years. He said: "The real tragedy was thinking any of those drinks did I really want or need or enjoy. It's much less than half. A lot of the time it was drinking for the sake of drinking.
"In your head, I think the more you drink, the more likely you are to get addicted. For me and many others, it’s part of life. Looking back, it’s one of the revelations I’ve found about myself but before you know it, it’s in charge of you before you’re in charge of it."
