Prince William and Kate were adorably interrupted during a speech yesterday by a little girl dressed as a princess as the fleet-footed tot was determined to meet the real-life royals.
During the Prince and Princess of Wales' visit to Scarborough this week, two-year-old Callie Rose set her sights on the couple as they addressed the room.
She stole the show by stopping William in his tracks as he was praising the work of the Two Ridings Community Foundation.
He was totally thrown by the wandering toddler, leading to an embarrassed laugh from the 40-year-old as the rest of the room giggled before he found his composure to continue with his speech.
The royal was midway through congratulating everyone on their excellent work when his thunder was suddenly stolen.
The cute moment was caught on camera as Callie stepped forward in her blue and white outfit.
The couple had clearly made an impression on the youngster earlier in the day when Callie presented them with flowers as they launched a scheme funding support for young people's mental health.
Yesterday in Scarborough at community hub ‘The Street’, William and Kate met a panel of young people who helped decide on the allocation of crucial funding.
They also found out how three local charities, Gallows Close Centre, Sidewalk Youth Project and Flash Company Arts, will spend the money.
The pilot scheme is being run by the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales and Yorkshire-based organisation, the Two Ridings Community Foundation.
During this visit, the second stop part of their trip on Thursday, Kate and William heard from volunteers and staff how they create wraparound support for service users which helps to build strong communities that support people practically as well as emotionally.
The Prince and Princess of Wales want to shake up their royal visits in a bid to help modernise the monarchy.
It has been revealed that the couple is planning to launch new charity collaborations across the country to help local groups work with their Royal Foundation, which will see cash generated for projects.
And according to the Telegraph, the idea for this type of royal visit came after William had to "start from scratch" in readjusting his plans for the future in the wake of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping down as working royals.
The idea to pilot this new idea in Scarborough yesterday was reportedly in the pipeline before the Queen's death and had the blessing of King Charles, who also shares William's vision of modernising the monarchy.
