It has been another individual season to remember for Mohamed Salah.
The Liverpool forward has ended the 2021/22 season with the joint-most goals and the highest number of assists in the Premier League, demonstrating how much of an attacking threat the Egyptian has been within the final third this campaign. Tottenham Hotspur forward Heung-min Son also ended the campaign on 23 goals, meaning he was also awarded a Golden Boot, after scoring twice in a 5-0 away win over Norwich City.
Salah was presented with his Golden Boot and Playmaker Award after the Reds' 3-1 win over Wolves at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, though the 29-year-old struggled to hide his disappointment after missing out on the top-flight title by a single point to Manchester City.
LFC RATINGS: Alisson excellent and Thiago immense against Wolves
INJURY SCARE: Thiago suffers injury in Liverpool win over Wolves
Shortly after this trophy presentation, the Liverpool players and their families emerged out of the players' tunnel and made their way out for a guard of honour in front of the home supporters. Among those present on the pitch was Salah's daughter, Makka, who continued her Anfield tradition by scoring in front of the Kop.
First seen on the final day of the 2017/18 campaign following a 4-0 win over Brighton, Makka received huge cheers from the crowd after rolling the ball into the back of the net. She did the same again the following season in 2018/19 after a win over Wolves, with Salah scooping the Golden Boot award on both of these occasions.
