Adele will not play a single show in Las Vegas before the summer – after Caesar’s Palace booked a replacement.
Nicole Kidman’s country music star husband Keith Urban is returning to perform weekend shows at the at the luxury hotel and casino’s Colosseum.
Grammy winning superstar Urban is filling four dates left open by Adele’s postponed residency and adding a total of five new shows to his Keith Urban Live – Las Vegas residency.
The new dates are March 25, 26 and 30 and April 1 to 2 – spots in the calendar that the singer sold tickets to fans for the Weekends With Adele show.
The replacement kills any chance of Adele performing her money spinning shows – where she was said to net £500,000 nightly – before the summer.
When she cancelled her gigs at the last minute last week, Adele had said in her message her show “ain’t ready” but said they “run out of time”, giving the impression the delay would not be for too long.
She added on twitter: “All dates will be rescheduled. More info coming soon.”
Adele pulled out of her 24 shows a day before the opening night on Friday, January 21.
Fans travelled to Sin City from across the US the UK to see her perform tunes from her hit album 30.
Citing coronavirus and production issues for the postponement, Adele has offered no details on any new dates.
