Adele warns Sharika's ex Gerard Piqué is 'in trouble' after she performs diss track

Adele made a hilarious quip about Gerard Piqué after Shakira performed her iconic diss track on The Tonight Show.

Shakira, 46, amazed fans as she rocked a leather outfit on the talk show and performed the track, Music Sessions, Vol. 53, in New York City.

The song contains a few references to her footballer ex-partner Gerard, 36, with who she parted ways last June after 11 years together. The former couple have two children together.

During her appearance on Jimmy Fallon's chat show, she said the track was a "healthy way to channel her emotions".

Shakira added to the host that she had "put up with so much c**p."

The next day, Adele told her fans that she watched Shakira's energetic performance and joked about Gerard.

During her performance at her residency in Las Vegas, the 34-year-old said: "I saw her performance last night on Jimmy Fallon. Oh her ex-husband is in trouble."

Shakira performed on The Tonight Show and looked gorgeous in a pair of leather chaps while showing off her figure in a black mesh bodysuit.

The bodysuit left little to the imagination as it featured under-boob cutouts.

She went for her full glam makeup and styled her iconic caramel hair in loose curls.

Talking about the breakup track for the first time on TV, she shared: "It's been unbelievable to feel the reaction from so many people. I think that people really connect with music when it's real and it's genuine, it comes from a real place.

"The thing with this song is that it has become like an anthem for so many women out there.

"I've had a very rough year after my separation and writing this song has been so important to me. It's been a healthy way to channel my emotions."

She concluded: "I feel that after we put out this song, I not only felt like I had fans but a sisterhood of women who have been through the same things, who think the way I think, feel the way I feel and had to put up with so much cr**, the way I had to."

Her song was released on YouTube on January 12 and took aim at both Gerard and his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti, 23.

"I'm worth two 22's. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo," Shakira sings. "You traded a Rolex for a Casio... A lot of gyms, but work your brain a little bit too."
