Adele is urging fans to head to the bar during her Sin City gigs, telling them they will enjoy her songs more if they’re drunk.
The I Drink Wine singer is just a week into her five-month Las Vegas residency.
But getting into the spirit of the iconic desert venue, she told her audience: “Go and order some drinks… the drunker you are, the better I am.”
Adele herself has stayed dry, having previously revealed she never drinks while working.
The superstar, who delayed her residency by 10 months after axing the original with a day’s notice, thanked fans for sticking by her.
Adele, who is thought to be earning £500,000 a night, told the audience: “I worked my absolute a**e off for this. I couldn’t have done that other show and you wouldn’t have liked it either, I’m telling you that.”
The 34-year-old called off her initial run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace fearing it “wasn’t ready”. Londoner Adele became tearful as the audience of more than 4,000 sang along to chart-toppers including Easy on Me.
After describing herself as an “emotional mess”, she recalled almost being struck by lightning as a kid.
She said: “One time it poured with rain and a massive storm happened.
“Me and my cousins thought we’d found a tree to stand under and take shelter, but it got hit by lightning. We all survived… it was f***ing hilarious.”
