Adele left fans stunned after she called several on FaceTime to apologise for cancelling her Las Vegas residency.
Ticket holders spent thousands travelling in from around the world to see the star launch her Sin City residency.
However, they were left disappointed on Thursday when the singer announced she was postponing all her dates at Caesars Palace Colosseum.
It has now emerged that the music sensation held one-to-one video calls with fans to apologise for the disruption.
She told one fan: “ I love you too, I’m so sorry and I can’t wait to meet you, alright. Get your free bag - and you’re not old enough to drink are you so you can’t have that free drink token.
“You’re too young... Get your freebies and chat to anyone. Ask any of my team anything about the show, ask them anything about me, about the show.
“I designed that score myself, I bled and f**king sweated and cried into it. So just have fun to all the fans and I’m really sorry and it’s really nice to meet you both.
“And I’m truly, truly like humbled at you two at your age. Please thank your mother from me.”
On another call, she said: “I’m letting myself be sad. I’m feeling really nice seeing you all there. Everyone keeps calling me. Where are you guys from? I love New York. I’m really sorry I’m not there.
“In the meantime, I can be with my son and be with Rich. Have you been to see the dresses and stuff?”
Individual tickets for the show cost $85 (£62), according to reports.
In a direct Instagram message, she wrote to a fan: “James it’s Adele! I really am so sorry. If you’re still here at 6pm, my store in the middle of the Caesars casino just outside the entrance to The Colosseum is opening up still.”
Following the cancellation, the 33-year-old publicly hailed her supporters as “the best fans in the world”.
She acknowledged the “graciousness and love” she had been shown in response to the unfortunate decision.
“I have the best fans in the world!” she wrote.
“Your graciousness and love tonight is overwhelming! Thank you.”
Adele released her fourth album 30 in early November and her Las Vegas residency was due to begin at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Hotel on January 21.
Following news of the cancellations, people were quick to offer support.
One fan responded to her Twitter announcement by writing: “I had tickets to see u tomorrow and it’s fine, health will always come first and specially in times like this.
Caesars Palace tweeted its support for the artist and her fans, saying: “Adele is an incredible artist, supremely dedicated to her music and her fans.
“Creating a show of this magnitude is incredibly complex. We fully support Adele and are confident the show she unveils at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace will be extraordinary.”
