Adele says she won't be going to the Super Bowl after causing a viral storm last year

Adele says there is no chance of her attending the Super Bowl this Sunday despite her current Las Vegas residency only being a five minute drive away.

The Someone Like You hit-maker, 35, was a surprise addition in the supporter stands at last year’s Super Bowl with images of her sporting a Fendi suit and sipping cocktails as she watched Rihanna’s half-time show going viral.

While her husband is sports agent Rich Paul, Adele has no problem in admitting that she has no interest in American football and was only there for Ri-Ri.

Despite having great seats for the game, she says she couldn’t really see the Umbrella singer that well and has no interest in watching the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers.

Addressing fans during one of her latest Las Vegas shows via MailOnline, she explained: “Last year I went, obviously I didn't go for the football at all. I went to watch Rihanna.

“I realised when I was there, it's not really put on for the people in the stadium. It's better on the TV because obviously I couldn't see her.

“Maybe I had bad tickets, I dunno. So I'm not going to go this year even though it's right next door. And I love Usher, so I'm going to watch it on TV.”

Adele, who shed just over seven stone in 2021, also gave an insight into what kind of snacks she would be delving into during the game, saying: “I'm going to make some buffalo chicken wings In the air fryer? Yes. I run on the air fryer. It's quicker and it's healthier. There you go. It's not an act (health eating), but I would recommend it very very much.”

The singer admitted she still doesn’t understand a lot of sports’ rules.

Adele said: “No one ever sat me down and explained to me how soccer works. I've just been watching it my whole life. So I just understand it.

“Whereas before, to be honest with you, before I got with my man, I've never even watched a football game.

“I swear the poor guy has explained NFL football to me about a million times and then I'm like, 'no, I don't get it. One more time. I just don't understand it.”
