Adele says she's 'never been happier' as singer celebrates 34th birthday

Global singing sensation Adele has revealed to fans that she has "never been happier" as the singer shared photographs to celebrate her 34th birthday. The Easy on Me singer shared two new images with her 49.8million fans to mark her birthday on Thursday, May 5.

The London-born star has had a rollercoaster year, with the release of her new album in November 2021, followed by award success and not forgetting the shock cancellation of her Las Vegas residency just days before it was due to open in January 2022. But in the new pictures on Instagram, the singer looked happy as she shared a close up image of her smiling and another where she posed in a short black dress with large puffed sleeves.

The caption included a heartfelt message where she explained how time was a healer. She wrote: "What a difference a year makes! If time keeps healing and smoothing out all the creases in my life like it does as the years fly by, then I can’t wait to be 60! I’ve never been happier! So many lessons, so many blessings to be grateful for. This is 34, and I love it here! Thank you for the birthday love as always x".

The best-selling music artist, who rarely posts on social media, has since received more than two million likes on the post and thousands of fans have commented eager to wish her a happy birthday. After appearing at the Brit Awards in February, the star sparked rumours she had got engaged to her partner 40-year-old sports agent Rich Paul after being spotted wearing a large diamond ring.

When the star appeared on The Graham Norton show a few days after the Brits, she was quizzed on the ring to which she replied: “If I was would I ever tell anyone if I was or wasn’t?”. She also spoke about wanting "more children" after her Las Vegas dates saying: "It takes me a while to recharge, and I would like to have more children – I only just feel like I’ve caught up with my sleep from nine years ago when I had my son”.

There are still no updates regarding the Las Vegas residency, which Adele cancelled in an emotional video citing the pandemic for reasons behind the show not being ready. But during her interview with Graham Norton she did say it would be "absolutely 100% happening this year".

“We are now working our a**** off," she said on the BBC show adding: "But I don’t want to announce a new set of dates until I know everything will definitely be ready. The sooner I can announce the better, but I just can’t in case we are not ready in time. It is absolutely 100% happening this year. It has to happen this year because I’ve got plans for next year. Imagine if I have to cancel because I am having a baby!”.
