Rich Paul has hinted he may well be ready to have a child with Adele – a year after they went public with their romance.
The 40-year-old sports agent has been dating 34-year-old Easy On Me singer Adele since May 2021 and they moved in together one year later.
Rich is already a father to three children, while Adele shares a nine-year-old son named Angelo with her ex-husband, Simon Konecki, who she divorced in 2021.
Reflecting on his past experience as a father, Rich suggested he was more than ready to have more kids in the future – and how he would taker a different approach to parenting in the process.
He told E! News: “As a young dad, growing a business, it was pretty tough.
"But now looking as an older dad, if I was to have more kids, I'm looking forward to being a different dad."
He continued: “Oftentimes as you're building a business, you're on the go, you're moving around, the kids grow up fast in a blink of an eye.
"Next thing, you know, they're walking and they're riding the bike, running and flipping around and that's the problem."
Rich added: “You know, I have a daughter that's a junior in college so I was a very young dad, but now, different age, different time in my life, different position in my life. I'm really looking forward to being an older dad."
Earlier this year, Adele sparked speculation she was planning to expand her family with Rich.
The mum-of-one quipped during an appearance on The Graham Norton show soon after abruptly cancelling her Las Vegas residency: “Imagine if I have to cancel [the Las Vegas shows] because I’m pregnant!”
However, reports at the time suggested Rich was not anticipating having kids with the chart topping star.
A source told Heat magazine in February: “Adele just blurting out the plan for them to have a baby next year has left Rich feeling spooked.
“Yes, it’s something they have discussed, but he had no idea their private plans would be broadcast and then splashed all over the world’s headlines.
“He knew what he was signing up for when he began dating Adele, but he doesn’t like their intimate moments becoming fodder for gossip, and he didn’t think Adele did, either. It’s definitely caused an awkward silence or two between them.”
Meanwhile, Rich gave further insight into his relationship with his kids.
He told E!: "My kids never tell me I'm a cool dad.
“Their friends think I'm a cool dad, so I feel good about that. But my kids never really tell me, 'Dad, you're cool.' They don't show me that love like that, but I know it's deep down inside. They definitely don't want to hang with dad. For sure.”
