Adele was over the moon at the way a fan pronounced her name as she revealed we have all been saying it incorrectly.
In a Q&A session called Happy Hour with Adele, to promote her new single I Drink Wine, the singer, 34, declared that a London-based fan had got it spot on.
“I love that. She pronounced my name perfectly,” Adele enthused. “Where’s she from, Enfield or something?”
The fan seemed to say Adele’s name in a north-London accent, opting for “uh-dell” instead of “ah-dell”. Adele is from Enfield and was raised in Tottenham, north London.
Fans with deep pockets will get a chance to scream it out to the songstress themselves, as it was reported this week that tickets for her rescheduled Las Vegas residency have risen to nearly £40,000 online on certain resale sites. They were originally on sale for between £70 and £600.
The Weekends With Adele shows are scheduled to take place from November 18, 2022, through to March 25, 2023, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas.
The Hello hit-maker stunned fans in January when she pulled the plug on the original run, just a day before they were due to kick off.
In an emotional video shared to social media, she apologised to fans saying “my show ain’t ready”.
She later went on to describe the cancellation as “the worst moment” in her career.
After six months and a huge backlash, she finally announced in July the new dates that she would be headlining Sin City.
