It wasn’t easy on her.
Adele is postponing her Las Vegas residency because of preparation issues due to COVID-19.
“My show ain’t ready,” the “Easy On Me” singer said Thursday in a tearful Twitter video. “We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time, and for it to be good enough for you. But we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID.”
Adele said half the show’s team was out with COVID as of Thursday. The first performances were scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights at Caesars Palace.
She’s not sure when the show will debut.
“I can’t give you what I have right now,” she said. “I’m gutted, and I’m sorry it’s so last minute. We’ve been awake for over 30 hours now trying to figure it out. And we’ve run out of time.”
All postponed shows will be rescheduled, according to Adele. She had been set to perform almost every weekend at the Caesars from this week through April 16. The show, titled “Weekends With Adele,” was announced in November.
“I’m so upset and I’m really embarrassed and I’m so sorry to everyone that traveled again,” she said. “I’m gonna finish my show, and I’m gonna get it to where it’s supposed to be. I’m so sorry, it’s been impossible. We’ve been up against so much and it just ain’t ready. I’m really sorry.”
