Adele has revealed she plans to get into serious shape when her Las Vegas residency comes to an end this summer - and take up another surprising pastime.
The 35-year-old singer told fans at her concert this weekend that she wanted to build the muscles in her core so that she can achieve her ultimate goal - a backflip.
Her residency is set to finish on June 15 this year.
The London-born star said: “I don't normally do New Year resolutions but I want to build my muscles in my core and my goal at the end is to learn how to do a backflip and not be in pain.
“So New Year's Eve next year, I'm going to be in such good solid shape – that's going to be such good fun – that I can do a backflip somewhere.”
The mother-of-one continued: “I've decided that this year I want to get to my peak physical fitness.
“I did it a few years ago and I felt fantastic but I know I can get stronger than that because I got there. Then I got lazy. So I'll start working out again to get my back completely right.”
The singer also stunned her fans by suggesting she would be taking up another pastime - hosting bingo nights at home.
“Once my shows have finished, I want to do weekly activities with my friends in my house at home, right.
“An activity every week and I was like, ‘Oh my God! I should do bingo!’
“My grandmas and my aunties when I was younger would play bingo on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“I used to think that maybe they had a gambling problem and it wasn't until I was older I realised it was a socialising thing more than anything.
”They go in with those big fat pens, the really satisfying ones... but I was never allowed in because obviously you have to be at least 16 because it is gambling.
“So then I was like, ‘Oh maybe I can start actually doing it in real life', but they've closed down. Anyway I'm gonna start hosting a weekly bingo!”
It comes following reports that Adele is set to return to the UK for a series of gigs, two years after she last performed in London.
The venue which could host the singer is the 62,000 seat Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - where Beyonce performed in 2023.
Reports suggest the singer’s residency in Vegas has rekindled her love of being on stage.
