Adele pays emotional tribute to loyal UK fans as she puts Vegas axed shows behind her

Adele has paid tribute to her loyal London fans after her spectacular Hyde Park performance on Friday evening.

The Hello hit-maker, 34, returned to the stage in front of a live audience for her first concert in five years as she headlined London’s BST Hyde Park Festival.

As Adele belted out her 2011 record-breaking hit, Someone Like You, the multi-award-winning songstress was brought to tears by the stunning sounds of the audience hitting every note and lyric of the emotional smash-hit.

The songstress was visibly overcome with emotion before she even made it through her first song, telling the 65,000-strong audience, 'My God, I’m back at home'.

“It’s so strange to be in front of a crowd again. I get so nervous before each show but I love being up here,” she added.

Adele sang some of her new hits, including Easy On Me, Oh My God, and 'I Drink Wine, and dedicated the rest of her 15 songs to her previous albums and most famous smash hits.

And following her stellar performance, Adele took to Instagram to thank her fans for their never-ending support.

The London-native shared a series of snaps from the incredible performance as she captioned the post: "Hyde Park Night 1. What a crowd!! Thank you my loves, I can't wait to do it all again tonight."

Adele put on a confident display as she entertained the incredible crowd, no doubt determined to put on a show to remember after she devastated fans when she cancelled her Las Vegas residency at the final hour in January.

Her 12-week show, Weekends with Adele, was due to kick off at Las Vegas' Caesar's Palace on January 21.

However, just one day before the shows were set to kick off, Adele took to her Instagram to announce that she would be postponing the shows.

Many fans were left out of pocket as some had already made their way to Las Vegas and spent money on hotels and travel arrangements.

On her emotional return to the live stage on Friday night in London, Adele showed off her weight loss in the figure-hugging gown which featured a plunging neckline and cut out shoulders.

She made sure to amp up the glamour with a sophisticated up-do and her signature winged eyeliner and nude lip.
