Adele brought her second Hyde Park comeback gig to a standstill last night after spotting a meaningful message from a fan in the crowd.
The 34-year-old songstress took to the stage at BST Hyde Park on Friday and Saturday evening this week - marking her first time performing in the UK in five years.
But, after spotting a heartfelt sign from a fan in the crowd last night (July 3), Adele suddenly halted her performance to address the audience member.
Ahead of performing her 2011 record-breaking hit, Someone Like You, the singer explained how she spotted someone with a sign saying, 'You're the reason I'm alive'.
She told the audience: "I was very nervous doing it because I feel so vulnerable and weak in the verses, even though the choruses make me feel so good.
"There was a girl with a sign when I was down there earlier that said, 'I'm the reason you're alive.'
"Baby girl, you're the reason you're alive and I'm so glad that you found comfort in my music. It's crazy how you come out with a song so many years ago and it's still blowing my socks off with it.
"So, let's have our own little moment tonight," the songwriter concluded.
Adele fought back tears as she took to the stage to headline BTS in Hyde Park on Friday night.
The musician was visibly overcome with emotion before she even made it through her first song, telling the 65,000-strong audience, 'My God, I’m back at home'.
“It’s so strange to be in front of a crowd again. I get so nervous before each show but I love being up here,” she added.
Adele sang some of her new hits, including Easy On Me, Oh My God, and I Drink Wine, and dedicated the rest of her 15 songs to her previous albums and most famous smash hits.
As well as audience members, the star was joined by a string of A-list stars including Cameron Diaz, Benji Madden, Niall Horan and James Corden.
Meanwhile, her ex-husband Simon Konecki and current boyfriend Rich Paul also joined in on the fun.
The pair were seen laughing and joking backstage, with one partygoer revealing: “Simon and Adele are like best friends and he gets on really well with Rich.
“She put Simon in charge of hosting all their pals in the backstage Queen Vic bar, which shows just how important he is to her.
“Rich was with Adele in her dressing room but as soon as she took to the stage, Simon was by his side. It’s lovely to see they are all one big happy family.”
On Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Adele reflected on the break-up of her marriage and said she remains close to Simon, which enables them to co-parent their son.
“Over my dead body is my kid having a messy divorce in his life,” she said.
The former couple share nine-year-old son Angelo.
