Adam Thomas cheered on and supported by his fans after 'good days and bad days' admission

Adam Thomas has been cheered on and supported by his fans as he openly admitted to the 'good days and bad days' amid his plans for a transformation. Back in April, the Waterloo Road actor shared how he wanted to 'get motivated again' after previously undergoing a dramatic body overhaul.

In June last year, Adam shared a glimpse into his journey after admitting to hiding his body for years. He enlisted the help of his twin brother Scott and his self-built community Food4Thoughts to transform himself, not just physically, after becoming "sick of revolving my life around this anxiety" of taking his top off on holiday or appearing on TV.

He was then seen showing off his new ripped physique but more importantly enjoying a splash in the pool with his son, Teddy, during a family holiday and sharing happier times with his children and wife, Caroline.

But in his Instagram post in April, Adam shared how a 'few knocks' had seen him take a step back in his progress. Looking back at his former transformation video, the 34-year-old penned to his 1 million followers: "Wow makes me emotional looking back at this…

"I took training so much for granted, I miss it too much!! … my physical and mental health has definitely took a few knocks this year, been tested physically and mentally! Not being able to train due to injury’s and illnesses has took its toll, lost all motivation these last couple of months, safe to say I had given up!

But no more! tired of the excuses… tired of feeling sorry for myself…time to get some structure in my life, time to get motivated again!! Also … Can’t help but watch so many people reaping the awards of going sober recently, although i love a good tipple now n then…whilst am on this lil Journey to getting fit and healthy again I’ve decided am going to go sober…

"…well until my birthday anyway!! (I want to see what all the fuss is about). I’ve set myself a challenge, from now until my bday am going to work on ME!!"

Adam has since been giving glimpses into the change he has been making, particularly with his fitness and over the weekend, the former Emmerdale star, who played Adam Barton in the ITV soap, posted a compilation video of him working out after facing some stepbacks along the way.

"Good days and bad days… but you just have to stick with it!!" he started the caption of his post. "You just have to be consistent with this shit show up and put the work in… that being said when your away from the gym you also have to put the work in too… with food especially but also staying active and motivated and if I’m being honest I’ve been struggling with recently.

"But am not going to beat myself up about it just have to keep pushing!! Injuries have been a huge impact to me physically and mentally but can’t thank @zee_pt for all he has done so far, were finally being able to lift some big weights now which I’ve missed!

Time to step it up now Adam … lets get to work! @flexpersonaltraining."

His brother Scott was among the first to respond, writing: "The comeback king!" While former Emmerdale co-star Natalie Anderson said: "You make me bloody laugh!" thanks to his energetic and smiley start to the video.

And Adam's fans and followers were quick to big him up and throw their support behind him. @aj.pritchard_supporter commented: "Yessss what a legend." @laurakx581 wrote: "Yesssss Adam well done u know u can do it." @laurakx581 added: "Yesssss Adam well done u know u can do it."
