Adam Schefter had a witty response after Aaron Rodgers referenced their viral text exchange in Jets introduction

Over a month ago, when we were still trying to figure out when Aaron Rodgers would be traded to the New York Jets, so was ESPN’s Adam Schefter. When Schefter sought clarification, Rodgers rudely shot him down over text.

On Wednesday, with Rodgers officially being introduced as a Jet and discussing his fallout with the Packers, he was asked about the best phone number to contact him.

The quarterback noted that Schefter would be the person to ask for such a query. This was a clear (and hilarious) reference to their past text awkwardness. Clearly, Rodgers saw how Schefter shared that exchange on Twitter for the world to see:

In response, Schefter joked with a creative reaction to Rodgers: He, unfortunately, “lost” the quarterback’s number:

Perfection. What a capper to this hilariously awkward saga between quarterback and information broker.
