ESPN’s Adam Schefter does not believe Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson will end up coaching the Las Vegas Raiders.
Why Does Adam Schefter Think Ben Johnson Won’t Go To The Raiders?
"I know everybody has Ben Johnson anointed to the Raiders but I'm not in that camp right now..
I don't know where he's gonna go but he's gonna have three realistic options..
Why is everybody ignoring Chicago when it comes to Ben Johnson" ~ @AdamSchefter #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/oFuvEbdGrz

On Friday’s The Pat McAfee Show, Schefter spoke about Johnson and how he will likely take a head coaching job this cycle. Schefter does not think it will be in Las Vegas.
“I know everybody’s got Ben Johnson anointed to the Raiders. I’m not in that camp right now,” Schefter said. “I’ll have to believe it before I see it.”
Johnson to the Raiders has gained major attraction the past week. Raiders limited owner Tom Brady has reportedly led the charge to bring Johnson to Vegas.
Schefter admits that Johnson could end up going to Vegas in the end. However, Schefter pointed to previous jobs that Johnson turned down as to why he won’t go to Vegas.
Schefter said, “If you’re picking the Raiders, you’re telling me that Ben Johnson turned down the chance to coach Jayden Daniels last year — turned that down — so he could go to a place this year in Las Vegas without a top pick, without a quarterback that plays in a division with Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Bo Nix, Andy Reid, Jim Harbaugh, Sean Payton. Does that make sense to you?”

If not Vegas, then where?
The Chicago Bears remain Schefter’s pick for Johnson.
“I don’t know where he’s going to go,” Schefter said of Johnson. “He’s going to have three realistic options. But why is everyone ignoring Chicago when it comes to Ben Johnson? Why has that just been dispelled? I don’t get it. What am I missing here?”
Johnson interviewed with the Bears on January 11.
With Caleb Williams and a talented defense, the Bears could be an enticing option for a first-time coach like Johnson.
