Does Adam “Pacman” Jones know something about the Cincinnati Bengals that everyone else doesn’t?
That’s the vibe coming out of a recent podcast appearance from the former Bengals cornerback.
Appearing on the “Bleav in Bengals” podcast with Solomon Wilcots, Jones said the Bengals will sign Tampa Bay Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen in free agency:
“I got some great news for you. A little birdie said that we [the Bengals] gonna sign Ryan Jensen to a three-year deal for $39 million, which would be a starting center. I hope it goes through. It sound like the little birdie is saying it’s almost a done deal.”
This isn’t the first time Jensen has been mentioned with the Bengals over the last week. Coincidentally enough, that mention came from Pro Football Focus, which predicted the Bengals would sign Jensen to a three-year deal worth $39 million.
So…either Pacman and PFF have similar sources, Pacman’s mixing some things up or…who knows? The fact he and PFF predicted the same exact contract would suggest he’s referencing that, and he hasn’t been known to break Bengals news in the past, but it’s worth pointing out.
Either way, teams aren’t allowed to talk with free agents until the legal tampering window opens on March 14.
And as an aside, Jensen would make sense as a free-agent target for a Bengals team that has said it will do whatever it takes to fix Joe Burrow’s offensive line, including looking at trades.
