Celtic youngster Adam Montgomery has joined Aberdeen on loan until the end of the season in a deadline day move.
The left-back was told earlier in the month he was free to go out on a temporary deal and Derek McInnes had been keen to bring him to Kilmarnock.
It's his successor at Pittodrie who has landed the transfer though with Montgomery joining the Stephen Glass project until the end of the campaign.
The 19-year-old made his debut for Celtic in May last year, and is under contract until the summer of 2025.
And Glass feels the rising star will add a new dimension to the Dons.
The manager said: "We’re pleased Adam has opted to join us at Pittodrie for the rest of the season.
“His arrival will provide some added flexibility to the squad as he can play in a number of positions.
“He is a player with great potential and someone who we feel will add value to the squad for the second half of the campaign.
“The club has previously enjoyed success with the loan of Ryan Christie from Celtic and we’re confident this move will be as successful.”
