Adam Lallana has warned Manchester City the title race is not yet won by insisting there is a real chance Pep Guardiola's side could lose one of their three remaining matches.
The former Liverpool midfielder helped the club end its 30-year wait for a league title during the 2019/20 season in what was his final campaign at Anfield. And Lallana is now hopeful Jurgen Klopp's men can clinch top-flight silverware for the second time in the space of three seasons.
City currently boast a three-point advantage at the top after capitalising on Liverpool dropping points in their home fixture with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday evening - and they are now in pole position to become champions, unless one of Wolves, West Ham United or Aston Villa shocks them in their final three fixtures.

But Lallana, now of Brighton, believes it is too early to write the Reds off and hasn't given up hopes of another twist in the final two weeks. "I can see it going down to the wire," he told Sky Sports. "Liverpool got a point at the weekend, some may say it is dropped points but all City need to do is lose a game. In this league, believe you me, that can happen against anyone."
Despite leaving Liverpool in the summer of 2020, the 34-year-old remains in close connection with both James Milner and Jordan Henderson and has plans to fly out to Paris for the Champions League final.
"I speak to Jordan most days and I speak to Milner most days as well as I'm still in a few group chats. It is great what they're [the team] doing and I'm following and supporting them. Hopefully I can get out to Paris as well after the season has finished for the Champions League final. It's going to be great, two European giants going at it again. Hopefully Liverpool get the better of them this time," he added.
