Former Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana says he's still in 'close contact' with a lot of the current squad and hopes to use his experience at the club to help the next generation at Brighton.
The 34-year-old spent six years on Merseyside between 2014 and 2020 before he joined the Seagulls on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract. He was a well-liked member of the Liverpool squad and Jurgen Klopp has previously described him as 'one of the best players he's ever worked with'.
He's now racked up close to 60 appearances for Brighton and was named in the starting line-up against Manchester United over the weekend. Graham Potter's side beat the Premier League giants 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

"It’s always nice going to Old Trafford, getting a win and getting stick off the fans for my time at Liverpool," Lallana told talkSPORT. "Going back to the culture and the mentality, it’s just training day in, day out at a certain level that just creates that. Once you do that, if you do that then the weekend just becomes second nature.
"I look back on my time there (Liverpool) with very fond memories. I’m still in close contact with a lot of the lads. I still do pick up off them about how they recover, how relentless their schedule is, how they sacrifice so much to have to play for that football club.
"If I can bring my experience and that rubs off on a couple of lads here - same with Danny Welbeck, his experiences playing for United - then it’s going to help the younger lads, the next generation at Brighton. Because we haven’t got the financial power to go out and buy these top, top, players for £50m we have to have that culture, work ethic otherwise the Premier League you’ll get eaten alive."
Brighton will hope to continue their positive start with a win in their first home game of the season when they welcome Newcastle to the Amex on Saturday. Liverpool, however, need to bounce back from a disappointing performance against Fulham when they host Crystal Palace next time out.
