Adam Kamani's MoveStreets enters the metaverse and partners with Nike-owned NFT studio

MoveStreets, the property portal app set up by PrettyLittleThing co-founder Adam Kamani, has joined the metaverse and partnered with a Nike-owned company.

The move by the Manchester-headquartered business was announced by Mr Kamani on social media and will also see the firm team up with US-based RTFKT Studios to create its own NFT.

Mr Kamani, whose father co-founded fast fashion giant Boohoo, said: "We have decided to create an experience for individuals all over the world to have an interactive experience with MoveStreets when they enter our building on the The Sandbox metaverse."

The news comes after the CEO announced a £5m investment into the property portal app in December.

MoveStreets is 'swipe right to like' app which has already matched more than 70,000 people with a home to buy or to let.

Mr Kamani pledged a £5m technology investment and selected fellow Manchester-based company Apadmi as MoveStreets’ development partner.

RTFKT Studios, which was bought by Nike at the end of 2021, is an NFT collectables firm and was established in January 2020 by three friends.

It is best known for creating viral sneaker designs, memes and collectible exclusives.

The Sandbox is a virtual gaming world where players can build, own, and monetise experiences in the metaverse.
