Adam Collard's future on Love Island was left hanging in the balance on Tuesday night, as bookmakers got things majorly wrong.
Having first stirred things up in the villa four years ago, Newcastle personal trainer Adam returned to the ITV show earlier this month as a bombshell that no-one saw coming. In his intro VT, Adam said he wasn't afraid to split up any of the existing couple in there and he certainly put Jacques O'Neill's nose out of joint when he made a play for Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne.
Jacques made an emotional exit from the Love Island villa a day after Adam arrived, paving the way from him to get closer to Paige. And, the minute they shared the first kiss, bookies slashed odds on Adam and Paige winning. Going into Tuesday's episode, they were second favourites behind Davide and Ekin-Su, on odds of 11/2.

Adam and Paige were ahead of Andrew and Tasha and Gemma and Luca in the race to win the new series in the eyes of the bookies, so, it came as a huge shock to experts when they landed in the bottom three after the latest public vote, while the two couples behind them in the latest betting were called save.
The result was met with considerable shock on Twitter, although many fans assume Adam and Paige will stay in the villa and it will be Josh and Danica who get the boot, presuming it will be those two who got the least votes.
However, others said they weren't surprised Adam and Paige were in the bottom three, although Paige's facial expression when they were announced as being in danger suggested she was. Clearly not an Adam and Paige fan, one viewer reacted with delight to the result, tweeting: "It's a blessed day when Adam & Paige are FINALLY on the bottom. They should be sent HOME!"
Equally happy with them being at risk, another posted: "For the love of god tomorrow at 9pm I want that text to tell me Adam & Paige are getting the boot."
There is still support for Adam and Paige out there though, with one fan responding to critics by posting: "Feel like am the only person who actually loves Adam & Paige really don’t see why there hated as a couple yet Dami and Indiyah are worshiped when it wasn’t long ago Dami was being slated by the nation."
