Adam Collard admits kissing woman in Bali was sparked by 'upset' over Paige Thorne split

Adam Collard has admitted his kiss with a woman at a pool party in Bali was sparked by his upset over his split from Paige Thorne.

Love Island hunk Adam, 26, was rumoured to have split form Paige after a video of him with his arm around a mystery blonde in a McDonald's was released.

Shortly after the video came to light, Adam rushed to Paige's side to try and rekindle things but, after Adam jetted to Bali, their romance soon ended.

Now, in an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Adam has opened up about his split from Paige and opened up on kissing the mystery brunette at a pool party.

Adam explained the video of him hugging a mystery blonde put "a strain on the relationship" and things between himself and Paige got "more tense and distant" after he jetted to Bali.

Their romance then ended around two or three days into Adam's work trip – and the kiss with the brunette didn't happen until the end of his trip, he said.

Adam told the Mirror: "I went to Bali for a work trip. And I had a week doing this fitness retreat and then a few days of holiday.

"But, to be honest by day two or three, the relationship was pretty much done because we weren't really speaking.

"Like I said, I will hold my hands up, it was probably more me than her that was a little bit quiet because, I just needed to process things were at and if there was a chance."

He added: "I just think there was there was too much strain on on both sides."

Adam then went on to explain the pair split up on the "second or third day" into his trip – and he insisted the kiss didn't happen until the end of his holiday.

"I was in Bali for over 14 days," Adam said. "It was literally the last night and I'm human to be honest."

He added: "Maybe this isn't the right way to go on but, I was probably upset and it sounds quite...

"I was probably upset the relationship broke down. And, call me an idiot, maybe I am an idiot but, maybe that was my way of just trying to ignore my feelings."

The Geordie hunk then revealed that he's now coming to terms with his breakup since returning from Bali.

"Since I've been home, it's now I'm probably processing it a little bit more but I feel like that's kind of what a lot of people do. I was out there and I was probably just trying to distract myself."

Despite the public display of affection, Adam has revealed he isn't actively looking for love, but is open to romance if it comes around.

However, we won't see the hunk trying out any other dating shows anytime soon.

Adam explained: "I definitely want to take a little bit of time and just like work on work, so to speak, and focus on that.

"But, I don't know, if it's the right person, it's the right person.

"The stupid thing is I feel like if maybe if I was on Love Island and someone... I don't think Paige was like 'The One' but I actually do think there is someone out there who when you get with them you are completely besotted...

"Maybe I meet someone not on a TV [show]. I've tried the TV maybe I'll try not the TV."
