Eddie Driscoll, a talented actor recognized for his roles in popular TV series such as Mad Men, Entourage, and Sex and the City, has passed away at the age of 60. The sad news was confirmed by a fellow actor, revealing that Driscoll lost his battle with stomach cancer in Los Angeles on December 15.
Reports indicate that Driscoll suffered a saddle pulmonary embolism, a severe condition caused by a large blood clot obstructing blood flow to both lungs. This life-threatening event ultimately led to his untimely demise.
The New York native honed his acting skills at the prestigious Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theatre in North Palm Beach, Florida, where he trained alongside industry legends like Carol Burnett and Reynolds himself. Driscoll later collaborated with Reynolds on various film and television projects, including Physical Evidence and Breaking In, as well as joint appearances on B.L. Stryker and Evening Shade.
Throughout his career, Driscoll made notable guest appearances on hit shows like Desperate Housewives, This Is Us, and had recurring roles in Days of Our Lives and TNT’s The Last Ship. His versatile talent and dedication to his craft earned him a respected place in the entertainment industry.
Aside from his acting career, Driscoll also worked at popular karaoke bars in California, leaving a mark on the local entertainment scene. A celebration of his life was held at Fox Fire Room in January to honor his memory.
