She’s had many guises and looks over the years – from Hanoi Jane to Barbarella – but her ability to wear an outfit still burns as bright as her political activism in her 80s.
Known for her anti-Vietnam War stance, double Oscar-winner Jane Fonda today is leading a battle against climate change.
In the autumn of 2019, the now 84-year-old actress moved to Washington, DC, and began holding Fire Drill Fridays, weekly protests on Capitol Hill to draw attention to the climate crisis.
"People started coming from all over the country, from Oregon, Arizona, Wisconsin, Massachusetts," she told Elle magazine.
In an interview as part of Disney’s Ultimate Princess Celebration, and wearing a dress as regal as Elsa’s in Frozen, she said of the character’s frock: "It’s quite a look. I think it would be a great look [for me]."

As a leading political activist for many decades, Jane has no intention of slowing down in her later years.
“I will be on the Capitol every Friday, rain or shine, inspired and emboldened by the incredible movement our youth have created,” the Hollywood legend previously wrote on her own website.
In December 2019, the award-winning actress was arrested for a fifth time, as she continued to alongside other climate change activists.
“Why be a celebrity if you can’t leverage it for something that is this important?” Jane has proudly declared in the past.
The star's most recent blog revealed her "new effort to stem the tide of climate change and address the outsize influence the fossil fuel industry has on our political system".
"I don’t say this lightly, but I feel this is likely to be the most important thing I do in my life. The climate crisis poses unprecedented threats to our communities, our environment, our economy, and our security," Jane writes within her inspiring message.
"It’s not too late to change course. But it won’t happen as long as oil, gas, and coal companies maintain their stranglehold on American politics."
