Activist Groups Plan Anti-Israel Protests At Multiple Universities

Activists of the group "Chicago Youth Liberation for Palestine" protest in support of Palestinians

Following anti-Israel protests at Columbia University, UC Berkeley, and Yale, additional activist groups have been inspired to organize their own resistance movements, prompting schools in California, Texas, and Maryland to prepare for potential unrest.

Activist groups at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of Texas at Austin, and Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, have all announced plans to hold anti-Israel protests on Wednesday, April 24.

Pro-Palestinian factions at these universities have taken to social media to declare their intentions to engage in 'resistance' movements. The Hopkins Justice Collective, for example, has urged members to show solidarity with individuals in Gaza and students advocating for divestment from Israel. The call to action includes a request for attendees to bring signs, posters, and energy.

These upcoming anti-Israel protests follow significant turnouts at Columbia University in New York City and Yale in New Haven, Connecticut, where hundreds of students participated. Similar demonstrations have emerged at various other universities in recent days.
