Acting US Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe is currently stationed in Florida indefinitely as the investigation into a potential second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump unfolds. This decision was confirmed by USSS spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi.
Rowe's agenda includes meetings with local law enforcement officials and a scheduled walk-through of the golf course later today, as per Guglielmi.
Following Kimberly Cheatle's resignation, Rowe assumed the role of Acting Director on July 23. Cheatle's resignation came in the aftermath of an attempted assassination on Trump, where he was shot in the ear.
While the timing of Rowe's meeting with Trump remains uncertain, Guglielmi mentioned that efforts are underway to coordinate a suitable time for the meeting.
