The ACT has recorded a slight uptick in the number of new COVID-19 cases, with 692 new infections reported.
After several days of daily infections below 500, case numbers have peaked again, days after a cluster of cases broke out at residential halls at the Australian National University.
Of the new cases, 310 came from PCR tests while the remaining 382 came from rapid antigen tests.
Despite the spike in new cases, active cases in the national capital have fallen in the past day from 3980 on Monday to 3389 on Tuesday.
Hospitalisations have risen slightly, with 45 patients being treated for COVID-19 in hospital.
However, none of those patients is on a ventilator or in intensive care.
Vaccination rates have risen slightly to 67.8 per cent of over-16s with a booster, and 78.4 per cent of five to 11-year-olds have received their first dose.
