An Adelaide man accused of rape, unlawful sexual intercourse and stalking women he met through dating apps and social media will fight the charges, a court has heard.

Sean Ian Bruce Flintoff, 35, has been charged with numerous stalking offences over a period of nine years, as well as the historical rape and unlawful sexual intercourse of a girl under the age of 15.

During a brief Adelaide Magistrates Court hearing today, Mr Flintoff's lawyer said his client would plead not guilty to the charges of rape and unlawful sexual intercourse, which allegedly occurred over four days in March 2006 in Adelaide's north.

But the pleas would not be officially accepted until his next court appearance in March.

The Andrews Farm man – who is in custody — is yet to enter pleas to the other charges.

The court has previously heard Mr Flintoff targeted women predominantly in their 30s, who lived all across metropolitan Adelaide and who he met on dating apps and social media.

Mail with various women's names was also allegedly found at Mr Flintoff's house.

He was first arrested in August and charged with stalking and property damage but the court previously heard that, following a lengthy police investigation, more alleged victims had come forward.

The matter returns to court next month.
