Accusations fly that Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh had explosive Don't Worry Darling on-set arguments

Olivia Wilde, Harry Styles and Florence Pugh’s new film, Don’t Worry Darling, is finally out - but the behind-the-scenes drama linked to the movie is rumbling on.

For weeks, there have been scandalous headlines surrounding the film - with allegations that 38-year-old Olivia fired original star Shia LaBeouf, 36, and replacing him with 28-year-old Harry.

Shia claimed he quit the project - while footage leaked by Olivia later appeared to expose a rift between her and 26-year-old Florence.

Now - on the day of the film’s hotly anticipated release - new reports have suggested Olivia and Florence bitterly clashed on the film set.

According to Vulture, a source who worked on the film claimed Olivia and Florence suffered a “blowout argument” in January last year when the project was one third of the way through filming.

The argument followed Florence growing frustrated by Olivia’s “frequent, unexplained absences” on set of the film that the older actress was supposed to be directing.

While the source went on to say: “Olivia and Harry would just disappear” - hinting that the romance between Olivia and Harry which began during production could have been a source of frustration.

The latest whispers from behind the scenes of the film support some of the previous reports about the backstage drama.

Back in July, a source told PageSix: “I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason when she first hooked up with Harry.”

Olivia had been in a relationship with the 47-year-old actor Jason Sudeikis from 2011 until 2020 and together they share two children.

Some reports have suggested that Harry and Olivia got together in January 2020 - while Olivia and Jason’s relationship was reported as over in November that year.

Olivia and Florence seemed to clash when footage emerged of Olivia in conversation with Shia and remarking: “I think this might be a bit of a wake-up call for Miss Flo.”

Florence then pulled out of promoting the film soon after the footage leaked - being absent from screenings at the Venice Film Festival and in New York earlier this month.

A source told Rolling Stone at the time: “It’s pretty clear [Florence is] choosing not to be a part of the PR. It’s clearly not beneficial to Olivia to not have her be a part of the PR. It has to be a Florence decision.”

While another source has attempted to cool rumours of bitter behind-the-scenes fighting.

Cinematographer Matthew Libatique previously told The Hollywood Reporter: “When I hear that there are rumors of acrimony on the set — I reject it. It wasn’t apparent at all, to be honest.

“From my standpoint, the stories are completely untrue when it comes to being on set. I can’t speak to post-production at all.”
