An acclaimed play about the Irish border is making its way to Dublin as part of its Irish tour.
The Border Game is brought to us by award winning writers Michael Patrick and Oisin Kearney and will play at The Axis Theatre in Ballymun on Saturday, September 3.
The show is inspired by by 100 testimonies collected by the writers from real people living all over the 300-miles of the border.

Described as a timely and powerful reflection on 100 years of the border and how it has impacted those who live along it, The Border Game focuses on on "ex-lovers from opposite sides of the Fermanagh-Leitrim border and the religious divide".
"We hope to evoke a sense of the politics in the area and of the cumulative experiences of real people who have lived along it," says writer Michael Patrick.
The Border Game was originally commissioned by Prime Cut Productions as a piece of new original theatre to mark Northern Ireland's centenary in 2021, making a successful debut at Lyric Theatre Belfast last year.
Co-writer Oisin Kearney commented: "We are delighted to bring The Border Game back on tour to the Republic of Ireland.
"Patrick delivered a compelling performance during last year’s run in Northern Ireland and this year, we are excited to welcome Cat Barter to the role of Sinead, our female lead. We are also elated to be working with Emma and Jimmy on this year’s performance."
The play sees estranged couple Sinead (Barter) and Henry (McBrearty) as they attempt to mend a fence in a borderland field next to an old customs hut.
What begins as a simple task for the ex-lovers turns into a dive into their shared past and a bitter competition to come out on top.
Emma Jordan, Director of Prime Cut Productions described The Border Game as "an arresting piece that facilitates a sophisticated conversation about the border, the future, the questions that it raises and how it both divides and unites the people who live along it."
Jimmy Faye, Executive Producer at Lyric Theatre Belfast added: "It is a pleasure to co-produce such a sensitive and thought-provoking depiction of life along the border. Last year’s show received glowing reviews and I expect that this year’s run will receive further acclaim."
Tickets for The Border Game at the Axis Theatre in Ballymun are available through the venue's website and cost €16, with concession tickets going for €14.
