A leafy suburban street has earned a reputation as an "accident blackspot" after a series of car crashes.
Three crashes involving five cars, including a police car, a van and a bicycle occurred at the junction of Druids Cross Road and Menlove Avenue in just three days this week - and neighbours say the problem dates back several years.
One Druids Cross Avenue resident said: "It's an accident blackspot. We live here and we constantly see crashes, to the point where we once had a chair in the porch we used to take outside to sit people down while they waited for the ambulance to come.

"For some reason people are flying down Menlove Avenue, and then they crash. I have no idea why; there's no traffic lights or road markings. It's just a normal road."
The first crash this week occurred at 11.25am on Tuesday, February 21, when a Mercedes collided with a tree, and caused damage to a Citroen. The driver of the Mercedes sustained a "slight injury", police said.
The second occurred on Wednesday, February 22, when three cars - a police vehicle, a BMW and a Citroen - crashed at 10am. No injuries were reported.
Finally, at 7.50am on Thursday, February 23, a Renault van collided with a cyclist at the junction. The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital for an assessment.
The Druids Cross resident said: "This week alone we've had three in three days. It's just insane. It's really dangerous. There's a school a little way down, there's constantly kids and families trying to cross. It's just scary. I feel like we all talk about it being bad, but nobody's doing anything about it. We don't know what we can do.
"It's all in daylight hours. It's not as if it's dark. Mostly people are able to just walk away and there's no need for an ambulance, but three crashes in three days is crazy.
"We've known for years that something needs to be done. A couple of years ago I wrote to the Council about it, but nothing really happened, and we didn't follow it up."
A spokesperson for Liverpool City Council said: “The Council will look into this matter and see what measures, if any, can be taken.”
