'Accept it' - Arsenal fans send Premier League message after rampant first-half vs Brentford

Arsenal fans were left purring following the Gunners' first-half display against Brentford after goals from William Saliba and Gabriel Jesus.

Mikel Arteta's side were looking to regain top spot in the Premier League, following the results at the weekend, but faced a stern Bees test.

On the opening day of last season, it was a day to forget for Arsenal as they were picked apart by the then-newly promoted side. But on Sunday they were continuing their fine start to the season.

LIVE: Brentford vs Arsenal - Live updates

Saliba rose highest from the corner to head in off the post to give the Gunners the lead. Granit Xhaka then produced a brilliant assist which was met by an equally good header by the Brazilian which nestled into the top corner.

Thomas Frank's side have been difficult to beat since their promotion to the top flight. Already this season they produced the shock win over Erik ten Hag's Manchester United side, romping to a 4-0 win.

But Arsenal were too strong for their London rivals as Xhaka continued to flourish in his advanced role whilst the blossoming centre-back partnership of Saliba and Gabriel continued.

As they raced into a two-goal lead, fans were left ecstatic and some even highlighted those who doubted the North London side. Here's how they reacted on Twitter.
