Here at SportsCasting, we have the AC Milan vs Girona preview, prediction, latest team news and predicted lineups ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash.
AC Milan vs Girona Preview
After a difficult start to life in the Champions League this season, AC Milan managed to find their feet in Europe and they now look set to advance at least to the playoff phase.
Losses to Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen left the Serie A side near bottom of the table after two games but as fixtures eased, the Italians were able to pick up important wins against Brugge, Real Madrid, Slovan Bratislava and Red Star Belgrade.
At the start of Champions League matchday 7 Milan were 13th in the new UEFA table format, just one point away from the top eight which comes with automatic qualification for the last 16.
Although their form in Europe has taken a good turn, Milan come into Wednesday’s game with just one league win in their last three and Girona could be in a prime position to cause an upset.
After last season’s impressive campaign Girona has struggled this year in a more competitive La Liga and they haven’t fared much better in Europe.
Girona are all but out of the Champions League before their seventh game this season with their only win of the year coming against Slovan Bratislava.
Only four teams in the Champions League have scored less goals than Girona this year, with the Spanish outfit finding the back of the net just four times.

AC Milan Vs Girona Prediction
It will take a lot for Girona to upset Milan at the San Siro on Wednesday night and with Girona all but out of the Champions League already, this should be a routine win for the hosts.
Milan are clear favourites to win at a price of 1/2 according to the best UK football betting sites, which seems like good value as they come up against one of the worst sides in the Champions League this year.
Prediction: AC Milan 3-1 Girona
