Abundant Life Christian School, a small private school with approximately 420 students enrolled from kindergarten to 12th grade, has implemented a series of security protocols to ensure the safety of its students and staff.
While the school does not have metal detectors on its premises, Barbara Wiers, the director of elementary and school relations, emphasized that they have various safety measures in place. Wiers mentioned that the school conducts visual scans of every student as they enter the building each morning. Additionally, there are cameras installed in the hallways that are regularly monitored from the office.
Although specific details about the security protocols were not disclosed, Wiers assured that the school prioritizes the well-being of its community. She stated, 'We also have other safety measures throughout the building. But as to a metal detector, no, we do not have.'
By enforcing visual scans and utilizing surveillance cameras, Abundant Life Christian School aims to maintain a secure environment for all individuals on campus. The proactive approach to safety highlights the school's commitment to providing a protective and nurturing educational setting for its students.
