A VIDEO has been published by a Scottish city's chamber of commerce aimed at residents who "moan" about the city.
The Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce chief Russell Bothwick has dubbed locals who criticise the city as "Abermoaners" – and said they are a "very vocal minority".
To combat the negative narrative, the chamber published a video poking fun at the city's residents and their complaining.
Complaints include cruise ships going to "the Bahamas", the lack of shops in the city centre, Union Street renovations and roadworks, wind farms, GB Energy, and poor public transport.
One character calls the Aberdeen sign a “lump of rusty cr*p".
Another, styled on a English businessman, says: "What is this city coming to? It only has one Pret a Manger."
One man is seen complaining inside Aberdeen train station about the lack of taxis, and Bothwick comes into the picture to ask what is wrong with the city.
He then grabs the man and escorts him through the ticket barriers to the next train out of Aberdeen.
He says: “Let me make a special offer to you. A one-way ticket out of here on the Abermoaner Express, compliments of the Chamber of Commerce.”
He then hands an oversized joke ticket to the man, who responds: “See that? Typical Aberdeen – the ticket doesn’t even fit the barrier.”
Borthwick goes on to insist Aberdeen is a great place to live, and touts recent investment totalling £30 billion.

Up to £22.2bn of energy projects have been detailed in a recent paper, marking the highest level of investment in the area since the oil boom of the 1970s and 80s.
Alongside energy project investment, Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire can expect new transport infrastructure, commercial and residential property, new health facilities and schools, as well as sport, leisure and cultural venues all worth billions.
